You’ve just read “Crush It” by Gary Vee…

You’re all fired up.

It’s time to lay it all on the line.

It’s time to be your brand and share your message.

And then…

Someone pukes on you.

You have to break up a fight over legos.

Or leave your white board to take your kid to lacrosse.

Welcome to parent entrepreneurship!

But guess what…

Your reason can’t be your excuse.

In This Episode:

Gary Vaynerchuk is an expert at entrepreneurship, so I jumped at the chance to check out his latest book, Crushing It!: How Great Entrepreneurs Build Their Business and Influence-and How You Can Too.

Truth is… this book made pick up my big-girl-britches and get my act together.

When I first started listening I got a little pissed. Gary shares how spending hours on twitter and publishing massive content on a regular basis is the way to go…

I immediately had thoughts like:

“You have no idea what it’s like to grow a business with babies at your feet”

“Yea right… 11 hours a day on twitter. Whatever…”

“There is no way I can apply these strategies…”

And then I told my self to shut up and listen.

And instead, I developed serious strategies that would allow me to “Crush It” with kids, and not allow my reasons to become my excuses.

So tune in with me and let’s “Crush It”

[Tweet “I developed serious strategies that would allow me to “Crush It” with kids, and not allow my reasons to become my excuses.”]

In this episode you’ll learn:
  1. Four different strategies to crush it as a parent entrepreneur
  2. Why you should read this book if you’re on a relentless pursuit of gaining control over your own life
  3. How this book inspired me to make changes in my own business

Today, We’re Talking About Something That’s Not Exactly Politically Correct.

I don’t hide the fact that I’m a Christian but I also don’t regularly talk about it on the podcast.

However, I do strongly believe in being transparent about your core beliefs when you’re in a place of leadership and, seeing that it’s Easter week, I felt the need to address the often-confusing dilemma of mixing your faith with your business.

In This Episode:

Alex Miranda is a former Miami nightclub promoter who, after having a “come to Jesus” moment, left the nightclubs behind to start the Daily Godpreneur; a personal development brand for Christian entrepreneurs.

One topic that’s always been of interest to me as a Christian entrepreneur, is the balance between needing money but not worshiping it.

During part of our conversation, Alex summed it beautifully when he said, “The profits are a byproduct of me doing what I’m born to do.”

[Tweet “The profits are a byproduct of me doing what I’m born to do.”]

Why You Can Expect:

In this episode, Alex and I talk about:

  • His professional and spiritual journey
  • How Alex sees the Bible as a book on how to run a business
  • The importance of discovering your calling and then shaping your business around it
  • How he takes his clients down the path of finding their calling
  • How to balance your business and being open about your faith
  • And 3 steps you can take right now to incorporate your spiritual life in your business operations.

Can You Make Real Money From Your Creative Endeavors? You Bet!

Jeff Goins is a husband, father of two, best-selling author of five books, including Real Artists Don’t Starve, and currently helps aspiring writers hone their craft and find their tribe.

Not only do I love Jeff’s work but he also shares the opinion that your business should be there to support your life and not the other way around.

Why You Should Tune In?

Jeff started a blog, learned how to monetize it, and created online course before they became the popular thing to do.

Because of this experience, he’s able to provide advice today that will help you finally get started with your business.

One of my favorite gems from this episode: “Clarity comes with action. We act our way into clarity.”

[Tweet “Clarity comes with action. We act our way into clarity.”]

What Can You Expect?

In this special episode, you’re going to hear how Jeff took his creative ideas and put them out into the world, different ways he tested what his audience wanted to hear from him, what he does professionally to help other writers get started, and how he’s modeling his business around his family life.

Are you ready for this special episode?

Something you might not know about me is that I absolutely love to be a part of book launch teams. Being able to help spread the word about a new book from an industry and inspiration leader brings me so much joy.

While I’ve done book reveals in the past, this is my first one on the podcast and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s for Jeff Goins’ book, Real Artists Don’t Starve.

Why is this important for your business?

Real Artists Don’t Starve is a must-read for all creative entrepreneurs who are looking to thrive in their business instead of just sustaining it.

The principles in Jeff’s book will help you evolve your business, gain more inspiration for your creative endeavors, grow your skill set, and thrive in your business in a way that will allow you to also thrive in your life outside of the business.

What can you expect?

In this episode, I discuss three of the twelve principles in Real Artists Don’t Starve that really resonated with me and that I feel will be very beneficial to every creative entrepreneur.

[Tweet “Real Artists Don’t Starve is a must-read for all creative entrepreneurs who are looking to thrive in their business instead of just sustaining it.”]

Thank you for sharing this with your friends! I really appreciate it!
